Objects are not passive actors. They act, they shape behaviour, they carry decisions forward in time. The designer is absent but their intention persists in the material — and keeps acting across contexts they never imagined.

Not anthropology, not sociology. The knowledge points back at design. The findings implicate designers.

Embodied experience as rigorous knowledge. The question is not \"what is this object\" but \"what is it like to be with this object — here, now, in this body, in this context.\"

The research organises itself around three moments where the assumptions embedded in design become most visible — and a fourth, more uncomfortable territory that I want to open.
